Anti-Defamation League National Chair Barry Curtiss-Lusher and his wife Gay are this year’s special honorees for our 2015 Gala on October 15 at 6:30 pm at the Seawell Ballroom at the Denver Center for Performing Arts.   With the theme “Honoring Our Present, Celebrating Our Future,” Barry and Gay will be acknowledged for Barry’s present leadership as ADL National Chair, as well as their philanthropic work in Colorado and throughout the world.

Both Barry and Gay are products of ADL’s young leadership development program and have been actively involved with the Anti-Defamation League since 1982.  Barry is currently ADL’s National Chair and is a past Regional Board Chair of the Mountain States Region. Barry has also been Chair of the Board of Colorado Public Radio and Chair of the Board of Directors of Rose Medical Center, among other community service activities.

Gay Curtiss-Lusher also continues to be active with ADL’s Mountain States Region as a member of its Board, a member of ADL’s Catholic-Jewish Dialogue and a past Co-Chair of the Governor’s Holocaust Remembrance Program.  Whenever she is in Denver, Gay participates in a Jewish Family Service program serving meals to seniors at the JCC, where she is a past board member.  She also is involved with the Cleft Lip and Palate Center at Rose Medical Center.

Barry and Gay have represented ADL around the world, traveling on missions to Israel, Greece, Bulgaria, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Turkey, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and the Vatican. In their limited free time, Gay is an avid exerciser and Barry hits the golf course. They are also both graduates of the University of Michigan and share a passion for the school (Go Blue!). At the Gala, the couple will be honored by their three wonderful children and their spouses: Ben Lusher, Nicole Graham-Lusher, Julie McQuade, Andrew McQuade and Joey Curtiss-Lusher.

The Gala is made possible through the hard work of Executive Chairs Ben Lusher and Nicole Graham-Lusher and Rob and Kathy Klugman, as well as our generous sponsors (as of August 27):  Bay Minerals, LLC (Larry Atler, Barry Collen and Barry Curtiss-Lusher), Emanuel J.
