ADL Horrified and Saddened by Charleston, SC Murders

  • June 19, 2015

In a letter to the Editor of the Denver Post, Mountain States Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Regional Director Scott L. Levin wrote to express ADL’s horror and sadness at the terrible murders in Charleston, South Carolina:

Editor:

The Anti-Defamation League Mountain States office is horrified and profoundly saddened by the terrible murder of nine people at the historic Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina during a Bible study on June 17. That such horrific action took place in a house of worship makes it even more tragic.

We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in their grief, and are inspired by the outpouring of support throughout the Colorado community that was evident in the interfaith vigil at Shorter AME Church the day after the shooting.  Together, we must work to ensure that such tragedies do not occur again.
