ADL Regional Director Scott L. Levin on KVDR Fox News: racist graffiti at HS both offensive and a teachable moment

  • October 5, 2018

ADL Mountain States Regional Director Scott L. Levin says that incidents like the one that occurred at Mountain Vista High School provide important teachable moments. KVDR Fox News’ story about the racist graffiti spray-painted on a gym wall quotes Levin discussing how the offensive incident can be used as a teachable moment.

Levin says:

“It is a teachable moment when something so offensive occurs we need to make sure that students and the community understand that words do matter.  We also need to show support for those people that those words might be directed against.”
