Under the leadership of Regional Director Scott L. Levin and the Anti-Defamation League Mountain States Regional Law Enforcement Committee, a reunion of regional graduates of ADL’s Advanced Training School (ATS) took place on February 19, 2014 at the Denver Police Department Crime Laboratory. The reunion included a law enforcement training, luncheon and special meeting of the Regional Board focused on ADL’s work with law enforcement.
ATS graduates and other law enforcement guests, including command level staff from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Colorado State Patrol and major law enforcement agencies throughout Colorado, joined with ADL National Chair Barry Curtiss-Lusher and members of ADL’s Law Enforcement Committee for a high-level briefing on Islamic terrorism conducted by ADL Center on Extremism Analyst Lauren Steinberg.
Following the training, members of the ADL Mountain States Regional Board joined the Law Enforcement Committee and officers for a luncheon and Board Meeting. Speakers included ATS graduates, Crime Lab Director Gregory LaBerge, Barry Curtiss-Lusher and Lauren Steinberg.
The training, luncheon and Board Meeting highlighted ADL’s unique relationship with law enforcement for the Regional Board and guests. Attendees reported how much they appreciated learning about this important relationship. For more information, please contact ADL Associate Director Shayna Alexander (SAlexander@adl.org).
