POSITION TITLE:  Spring Intern – Denver 

REPORTS TO:  Senior Associate Regional Director 

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None 

LOCATION: Denver, Colorado 

GRADE/CLASS: Grade N/A, Non-Exempt, Non-Union

Primary:  

  • Gain a better understanding of field of interest by participating in special projects in the fields of development, civil rights, international affairs, education, community service, management, or other areas of interest. This may include both supervised and independent work on projects such as the Governor’s Holocaust Remembrance Program; Words to Action (ADL’s signature program that empowers college and pre-college students to respond to antisemitism and anti-Israel bias); incident response; and other ADL events. 
  • Participate in Mountain States Regional Office meetings to gain a better understanding of the mission of ADL and familiarity with community service work.  
  • Read print and electronic media on topics connected to the ADL mission. 
  • Under direct supervision, conduct research, prepare memos and letters, and draft meeting minutes in order to gain experience in the implementation of community service work. 

Secondary:  

  • Provide administrative assistance as needed. 

Skills:  

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Research skills. 
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment to ADL’s mission. 
  • Experience in Microsoft Office preferred.  
  • Experience in Salesforce preferred. 

 

Work Experience:  

  • Prior volunteer or work experience helpful.  

 Education:  

  • Matriculated college student or recent college graduate or graduate student. 

Work Environment: 

  • ADL is a hybrid environment, though this role may be performed remotely. 

 

Compensation: 

  • The wage for this position is $18.81 an hour at 15 hours per week. This wage is reflective of a position based in Denver, Colorado. Please note that since ADL has a location-based compensation structure, there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
