ADL Applauds Enforcement of Hate Crimes Laws by Denver Authorities

  • November 21, 2009

Responding to the announcement of the arrest of 32 men and juveniles for racially-motivated assaults and robberies in Denver, the Mountain States Region of the Anti-Defamation League issued the following statement:

“The Anti-Defamation League applauds the work of the Denver Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Denver District Attorney in enforcing Colorado’s hate crime laws.  Crimes targeting victims because of their race, such as the ones alleged here, threaten the fabric of our society.  All Coloradoans – whatever their race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation or disability – should be safe from bias-motivated violence.”
