Scott L. Levin, Regional Director for the Anti-Defamation League Mountain States Region, was interviewed in the Intermountain Jewish News about Denver Jewish organizations’ efforts to ensure safety and security for their constituents.
“Thankfully, we have very aware and expert people working in these institutions who from our perspective are doing the right thing by working with local law enforcement and repeatedly reviewing their own security plans,” Levin said. “The reality is that our community does a really good job of being vigilant when things out of the ordinary occur. Some of the time that vigilance leads to people who do want to do harm to us. Other times, it could just be somebody who is in an unusual position but isn’t doing anything to harm us. We recommend treating everything with great vigilance and sensitivity.”
Levin emphasized that this call for vigilance should not be understood to mean that a terrorist strike against Colorado Jews is imminent.
