Author and Bullying Prevention Expert Rosalind Wiseman to be Keynote Speaker at ADL Torch of Liberty Dinner on May 15

Internationally noted author Rosalind Wiseman will be the keynote speaker at the Mountain States Anti-Defamation League’s Torch of Liberty Dinner on May 15, 2014, at 5:30 p.m. at the Grand Hyatt Denver, 1740 Welton Street.  ADL will honor its current and past board chairs with ADL’s Distinguished Community Service Award, and will recognize Chaplain (Col.) Robert Bruno of the United States Air Force Academy with its First Amendment Award for his leadership in promoting religious liberty at the Academy.

Rosalind Wiseman is an internationally recognized expert on teens, parenting and the prevention of bullying.  Her most recent best-selling book is Masterminds and Wingmen.  She is also the author of Queen Bees and Wannabees: Helping Your Daughter Survive Cliques, Gossip, Boyfriends, and the New Realities of Girl World. Actress Tina Fey created the screenplay for, and starred in, the hugely successful movie Mean Girls based in large part on Wiseman’s New York Times best-selling book. Wiseman has worked to create communities based on the belief that all people have a responsibility to treat themselves and others with dignity. She serves as an advisor to the US Department of Health and Human Services’ Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration and was a key presenter at the White House Summit on Bullying in 2011. Additionally, Wiseman has been profiled in The New York Times, People, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, The Washington Post, and USA Today and is a frequent guest on The Today Show, Anderson Cooper 360, CNN, Good Morning America, and NPR affiliates across the country.
