The Mountain States Regional Office of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) installed Karen Steinhauser as Regional Board Chair at its Annual Community Meeting.

Twelve new Board members were elected to serve two-year terms on the Regional Board, while 19 current Board members were re-elected to serve. Four Board members achieved Emeritus Status and 19 Board members will continue to serve with Emeritus Status.

More than 200 people attended the event that celebrated the high points of ADL’s 2007-2008 program year, including: hearing from the principal of the first school in Colorado to be designated No Place for Hate^®, Martha Gustafson of Boulder’s Manhattan Middle School for the Arts and Academics; enjoying presentations by teens who participated in the 2008 Robert B. Sturm Youth Leadership Mission to Israel and Yad Vashem; and honoring the boys and girls basketball teams of the Rocky Mountain Hebrew Academy for their courage and leadership in refusing to play on Shabbat.
