The Anti-Defamation League was founded in 1913 to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all. Today it is the world’s leading organization combating anti-Semitism, exposing hate groups, training law enforcement on hate crimes, developing anti-bias curricula for students, countering cyber-hate and relentlessly pursuing equal rights for all.
ADL’s Mountain States Regional Office serves Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming, and has been fulfilling ADL’s mission “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all” since 1941.
We do this by confronting antisemitism; fighting for the separation of church and state; standing up for all victims of discrimination; shining the light on hate groups; advocating for Israel and peace in the Middle East; training teachers, students and law enforcement officers, educating about the Holocaust; fighting for religious freedom; supporting stronger hate crimes legislation; speaking out against bigotry; promoting interfaith dialogue; protecting Jewish institutions; and preserving democratic values.
ADL’s Education Division focuses on three primary programmatic areas: anti-bias education, confronting antisemitism, and Holocaust education. Through our A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute, we customize programs that provide the necessary skills, knowledge and awareness to promote and sustain inclusive and respectful school, work and home environments for schools, universities, corporations, community-based organizations, and law enforcement agencies.
Unveiled in 2008, our No Place for Hate® program was developed to organize schools to work together and develop projects that enhance the appreciation of diversity and foster harmony among diverse groups by empowering them to promote respect for individual and group differences while challenging prejudice and bigotry.
