In advance of the Jewish High Holy Days, the Anti-Defamation League’s Mountain States regional office issued a Security Advisory to over 200 Jewish institutions in Colorado and Wyoming, advising them to review their security policies, procedures and training and to renew their relationships with local law enforcement. ADL also shared several resources with the community, including its security manual, Protecting Your Jewish Institution.
Additionally, ADL reached out to over 30 police chiefs and Sheriffs in Colorado and Wyoming to inform them of the security concerns that could potentially arise during the Jewish High Holy Days. ADL expressed its gratitude for special attention paid to patrols of synagogues and Jewish institutions and provided localized information about the institutions in each district.
ADL has also conducted 10 security seminars with various Jewish and other community institutions this year, empowering institutions to draft, implement and practice security plans and to form critical relationships with law enforcement.
