The Anti-Defamation League announced today that Scott Levin has been named Mountain States Regional Director, beginning on December 1, 2010.

“Scott has demonstrated a selfless dedication and passion for public service to both the Jewish and wider community,” said Stuart Pack, ADL Mountain States Regional Board Chair.  “He is a perfect choice to lead ADL.  I look forward to working with him to bring our region to even greater heights and achievements.”

Levin, a Denver attorney, has served on the ADL Regional Board for many years.  He has served as Chairman of the Board of the Rose Community Foundation, President of Congregation Emanuel, and a Trustee of the Denver Campus for Jewish Education.  He is also a member of the Community Leadership Board of Mile High Montessori Early Learning Centers.

“I look forward to working on behalf of ADL’s mission in Colorado and Wyoming,” said Levin.  “ADL’s mission – ‘to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment for all’ – resonates deeply with me.  I have admired the work ADL has done in this region under the leadership of Bruce DeBoskey and his predecessors Saul Rosenthal and Sheldon Steinhauser. I am ready to build on their work to meet the new challenges today’s world presents.”

Levin is a graduate of George Washington University (with distinction) and the University of Denver Law School.  He is a shareholder with Sweetbaum, Levin and Sands, P.C., where he has specialized in commercial litigation.  He was selected by his peers as being among the top five percent of attorneys for inclusion in “Super Lawyers” by Law and Politics magazine every year since its inception in 2006.  He and his family were honored in 2010 with ADL’s Torch of Liberty Award, for passing the torch of community service from generation to generation.
