The NEWSED Community Development Corporation will present its 21st Annual Civil Rights Award to the Mountain States Region of the Anti-Defamation League and its regional director, Scott Levin, at an awards dinner on November 8.  NEWSED’s Civil Rights Award recognizes “individuals and community organizations that have made a significant difference through activism, sacrifice, and dedication to an ever-changing civil rights movement.”

“It’s a great honor to have ADL recognized by NEWSED,” said Levin.  Previous award recipients have included the Matthew Shepard Foundation and U.S. Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar.

NEWSED is a nonprofit community organization dedicated to the development of West Denver and to increasing opportunity and engagement of Denver-area residents.
