Andrea Shpall to Chair ADL’s Mountain States Regional Board

  • June 4, 2012

The Mountain States Region of the Anti-Defamation League announced that Andrea Shpall will be named Regional Chair at ADL’s annual meeting on June 7, 2012.  She will succeed current Chair Stuart Pack, who is finishing a two-year term.

Andrea Shpall is the President of Polk Majestic Travel. She is a third-generation Colorado native, and a graduate of Antioch College and the University of San Francisco School of Law.  After a successful career as a lawyer, Andrea made a career change to take over her family-owned travel business. Under Andrea’s leadership, her business became one of the leading travel agencies in Colorado.

Andrea first joined ADL’s Mountain States Regional Board in 1988, and has chaired ADL’s Civil Rights, Development, International Affairs, and Strategic Planning Committees, as well as its Annual Campaign and Catholic/Jewish Dialogue.  She also serves as a member of ADL’s National Commission.

“The mission of the ADL is as vital today as it was at its founding in 1913,” said Shpall.  “I am proud that I will be presiding over ADL’s Regional Board as the organization celebrates its 100th year fighting anti-Semitism and all forms of prejudice and bigotry.  New times bring new challenges, whether it is combatting newer forms of anti-Semitism thinly disguised as criticism of Israel, or standing up for equality for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender members of our community, or confronting bigotry in the national debate on immigration reform.”

Andrea is a founding member of the University of Denver’s Center for the Alliance of Business Leadership and Entrepreneurship (ABLE) for Women, and has served on the Steering Committee for Make Mine a Million, ASTA’s Corporate Advisory Council, the Advisory Board for The Ritz-Carlton Hotels, and the Greenwood Village Re-Districting Committee.

“Andrea brings a depth of knowledge and a passion for ADL’s agenda to her new role as Chair,” said Scott L. Levin, ADL Mountain States Regional Director.  “She is truly committed to ADL’s mission, and we are fortunate to be the beneficiary of her wisdom and her energy.”
