Anti-Defamation League National Chair Barry Curtiss-Lusher drew a standing room only crowd in Boulder on August 26 when he presented a special insider briefing entitled “From The Pope to the President.”
The event, hosted by ADL Mountain States Regional Board Member Audrey Fishman Franklin and her husband Andy Franklin at their beautiful home overlooking the Flatirons, drew over 70 people and featured Curtiss-Lusher’s reflections on his time as National Chair. In addition to speaking about his experiences meeting world leaders, including President Obama, Angela Merkel and the Pope, Curtiss-Lusher reflected on ADL’s civil rights and education mission. He also spoke about the situation in Gaza, especially challenges brought on by one-sided media reporting. Curtiss-Lusher explained that ADL’s mission is as relevant as ever, and the need to combat anti-Semitism and extremism even more critical. Participants gained a deeper understanding of the work being done by ADL locally, nationally and around the world.
Members of the Boulder community wishing to meet with a member of ADL’s Mountain States Regional Staff are welcome to do so on September 18, when ADL will be scheduling one-on-one meetings at Breadworks Cafe in Boulder. Call 303-830-7177 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
