Antisemitic incidents in the U.S. reached an all-time high last year with a total of 3,697 incidents of assault, harassment and vandalism tracked by ADL’s Audit of Antisemitic Incidents. This represents the largest number of incidents against Jews in the U.S., recorded by ADL since 1979.
Amid the highest level of antisemitic incidents in the U.S. ever tracked by ADL and alarming growth in antisemitic attitudes, ADL has launched #LearnToNeverForget in support of improving and expanding Holocaust education across the U.S. Together, we must say “never forget” and “never again.”
Domestic extremists pose significant problems in the U.S., from incitement and harassment to hate crimes and terrorism. Of the 25 extremist-related murders in the United States in 2022, 60% were victims of mass shooting attacks, according to ADL Center on Extremism’s annual analysis of people killed by extremists.
This month we have three big questions for Regional Director of Education Tara Raju as she concludes her career at ADL after nearly two decades on our Regional team. ADL: Thinking back over your 18-year career at ADL, what are some of the highlights you’ve experienced? Tara Raju: I have been lucky to have experienced many highlights,
