The Mountain States Region is thrilled to announce its fall fundraiser, ArtWorks, scheduled for 11/12/13. Please note that the art event will take the place of the Society of Fellows event this year. The event is a cocktail reception and silent art auction inspired by ADL’s Centennial theme, Imagine a World Without Hate®. Artists have been invited to create pieces surrounding their interpretations of that theme. Over 30 art pieces will be for sale, with proceeds benefiting ADL’s regional programming. To see the artists, get more information, purchase tickets, or find sponsorship information, please go to: www.adl.org/artworksdenver
The goal of ArtWorks is to engage, empower, and educate the Denver community about the mission and impact of ADL through art. ArtWorks will celebrate ADL’s achievements as the voice of justice and fairness for all who have faced injustice, hatred, or bigotry.
Supporting the ADL through ArtWorks is important because sponsorships and the purchase of art will help fund the daily work of the ADL in Colorado, which includes: fighting bigotry, racism and anti-Semitism; combating bias, bullying and hate through our No Place for Hate initiative in Colorado schools; advocating for civil rights and religious freedom; training law enforcement about extremist groups; responding to hate crimes; and responding to discrimination complaints.
Tickets for the event will be $180 and Society of Fellows tickets will be $500. Heavy hors d’oeuvres, wine, and beer will be served. RSVP by phone, online, or by returning a registration card before Monday, November 4th.
The event will honor the Quiat family, for their generations of dedication to civil rights and commitment to fair treatment to all.
We are looking for individual, corporate, and foundation sponsorship. Special, unique opportunities exist and we are happy to discuss them, please call 303-830-7177 x225 or email ahakala@adl.org.
