The Anti-Defamation League Mountain States Region invites you to join us in celebrating the schools that successfully accomplished their 2016-2017 goal of being designated a No Place for Hate® campus and recognize the educators, volunteers and donors who contributed to ensure the program’s tremendous success at this year’s No Place for Hate Celebration Breakfast. This fundraising event will take place on Thursday, April 6th from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. in Denver. For location, tickets or sponsorship information, click here: www.adl.org/celebrationbreakfast or call 303-830-7177.
As part of the celebration, banners are presented to each school, with unique distinction given to schools completing their fifth through ninth years in the No Place for Hate Initiative. In addition, winners of the Imagine A World Without Hate® Student Art Contest will be recognized for their incredible talent and artistic representations of the values of No Place for Hate.
Our keynote speaker, Noopur Agarwal, is Vice President of Public Affairs for MTV, where she oversees major “pro-social” campaigns to engage and activate America’s youth on the biggest issues impacting their generation. These initiatives include the Peabody Award-winning mtvU mental health campaign, Half of Us and MTV’s Emmy-winning anchor campaign, Look Different, created with support from ADL and aimed at tackling racial, gender and anti-LGBT bias. Ms. Agarwal will speak about the important work of sparking youth to take social action.
We welcome you to celebrate with us and help us fulfill ADL’s commitment to a shared sense of responsibility and vision to guarantee that all schools are safe and inclusive, where every child is treated with respect and no one stands alone when opposing hate.
