**************
The ADL Mountain States Region’s 44th Annual Governor’s Holocaust Remembrance Program will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 5:30 PM MT at Temple Emanuel in Denver, CO.
The annual program allows people of all faiths to come together each year to honor Holocaust survivors, remember those who perished, educate the community about this horrible crime against humanity and translate those lessons into contemporary action. The event also typically includes remarks from Governor Jared Polis, the chanting of the El Maleh Memorial Prayer and lighting of our Holocaust candelabra, and more.

OUR SPEAKER
The 2025 program will feature a very special conversation with Holocaust Survivor Carla Peperzak. Born in 1923 in in Amsterdam, Carla was sixteen years old in 1940 when the Nazis occupied The Netherlands. Carla worked underground as an active fighter and rescuer in the Dutch Resistance, helping fellow Jews find shelter and remain in hiding. After the war, Carla met and married her late husband Paul, living in several locations abroad and throughout the United States, including Colorado. Following Paul’s passing, Carla moved to Spokane, Washington, where she is an active member of the Seattle Holocaust Center speaker’s bureau.
