The Anti-Defamation League is pleased to honor ADL National Chair Barry Curtiss-Lusher and his wife Gay for Barry’s three years of leadership as ADL National Chair, as well as the work both of them have done on behalf of ADL and so many other organizations at a special Gala evening on October 15, 2015 at 6:30 pm at the Seawell Ballroom at the Denver Center for Performing Arts. Barry and Gay’s extensive volunteer work and philanthropic efforts have spanned a wide-range of important issues and have positively impacted scores of people in Colorado and throughout the world, including those targeted by anti-Semitism and other forms of bigotry, children born with cleft palates, senior citizens and listeners of public radio.

With the theme “Honoring Our Present, Celebrating Our Future,” this event is timed to coincide with the annual meeting of ADL’s National Commission.  ADL lay leaders and professional staff from around the country will be in Denver at ADL’s National Commission Meeting and in attendance at the Gala honoring Barry and Gay Curtiss-Lusher.

The October meeting will be the first for ADL’s new National Director Jonathan Greenblatt, and he will be the featured speaker at the Gala.  Prior to joining ADL, Greenblatt was a Special Assistant to the President and Director of the Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation at the White House. He also had an extensive career as a social entrepreneur, including being a co-founder of Ethos Water, which was acquired by Starbucks. Attendees at the Gala will have the exciting opportunity to hear Greenblatt describe his vision for the future of ADL as we enter our second century as the country’s leading organization confronting anti-Semitism and bigotry in all forms.
