As distinguished pillars of the community, ADL is delighted to showcase these exceptional individuals who have been shining beacons of passion and hope. In addition, performances throughout the night will inspire passion for social justice and challenge guests to action for humanity. A fifth-generation Denverite, Andrew Feinstein’s ancestors arrived in Denver’s historic Curtis Park neighborhood in 1870, and he has continued the family tradition by running and developing businesses in the Five Points neighborhood. Currently, Andrew is a managing partner in the EXDO Event Center and Tracks nightclub, as well as the EXDO Management property group which oversees commercial property throughout the Denver metropolitan area and participates in joint venture vertical development, including the new World Trade Center Denver project. Andrew now resides in the River North (RiNo) Art District where the EXDO Event Center is located, and he has served as co-chairperson of the RiNo Art District board since 2012. Andrew also serves on the boards of the RiNo Business Improvement District, the Anti-Defamation League Mountain States Region and on the Ambassador Board for Project C.U.R.E.  An avid traveler, Andrew participated with Denver Sister Cities International on diplomatic missions to Nairobi, Kenya in 2014 and Takayama, Japan in 2015 and has joined Denver Mayor Michael Hancock on delegations to Tokyo, Munich and Dubai. A devotee of the Denver Nuggets, Andrew has also participated in the NBA’s Basketball Without Borders and Masai Ujiri’s Giants of Africa summer camps across the African continent annually since 2011.

Steve and Elaine Berman also exemplify dedicated community members who engage wholeheartedly to make their community a better place, particularly for our children. Elaine has dedicated her professional work and community service to improving the lives of Colorado’s young people. In January, 2015, she completed eight years on the Colorado State Board of Education and previously served eight years on the Denver Board of Education, including four years as President. Prior to serving in elected office, Elaine worked for 18 years as a program officer at the Denver-based Piton Foundation, focusing on a wide spectrum of children’s issues.  She has served on numerous not-for-profit boards and commissions and helped to found the Colorado Children’s Campaign, the Adoption Exchange, the Colorado Education Initiative and the Colorado Non Profit Development Center. She served for many years on the JCC board and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Metro State University of Denver. She is especially proud of her involvement with the DPS Foundation and its incredible success.

Dr. Steve Berman is Professor of Pediatrics and Public Health at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and School of Public Health and holds an endowed chair in Academic General Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital in Colorado. In addition, he is Director of the Center for Global Health in the Colorado School of Public Health and a past President of the American Academy of Pediatrics. A practicing primary care pediatrician, Steve is a leader in child advocacy, child health policy, international health, and pediatric education. He is a founding board member of the Colorado Children’s Campaign and Bright by Three and has served on many non- profit boards including Mile High Montessori, Mental Health Colorado and the Jewish Community Center. Steve currently serves as chair of the “Helping the Children” initiative that seeks to raise awareness of the unique physical and psychological needs of children following humanitarian emergencies.

We hope you will join us for this inspiring, fun evening supporting ADL’s mission “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.”
