Mary Groote, Administrative Assistant at the Mountain States Regional Office of the Anti-Defamation League, has been named a 2014 Luzell Award Winner.
Robert Luzell, the Executive Assistant to ADL’s former Associate National Director, passed away in December 1992 after a long and courageous battle with AIDS. In his memory, each year ADL presents the annual Luzell Award for outstanding support staff performance. The award consist of a cash stipend of $1,000 and a plaque given annually to two ADL support staff persons, one from national staff and one from regional staff, who have distinguished themselves during the prior year with regard to commitment, dedication and overall job performance.
The staff and lay leadership of the Mountain States Regional office nominated Mary for the award. According to Regional Director Scott L. Levin, “Mary’s love of ADL and its mission spurs her to take on the most challenging tasks. It is that palpable passion for the mission that comes through to not only those of us fortunate enough to work with her, but also is recognized by lay leaders.”
ADL applauds Mary for earning this well-deserved honor!
