The Anti-Defamation League remains a strong advocate for sanctions against Iran. We thank you for your leadership in co-signing The Nuclear Weapon Free Iran Act, a bi-partisan bill which, when implemented, would strengthen existing sanctions and put forth future sanctions that would be triggered should Iran violate the interim agreement reached last year or fail to agree to a final bill that would ban it from enriching uranium.

I join ADL National Chair Barry Curtiss-Lusher and ADL National Director Abraham H. Foxman in their view that

Far from being a step which will make war more likely, as some claim, enhanced sanctions together with negotiations will sustain the utmost pressure on a regime that poses a threat to America and our closest allies in the Middle East and offer a greater chance of achieving success through diplomacy.
