Sheryl Feiler, Chair of the ADL Mountain States Regional Board, and I are pleased to announce that the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has selected Susan Rona to succeed me as the new Regional Director for the ADL Mountain States Region. Susan is a seasoned leader with deep expertise in community engagement, nonprofit management, fundraising, and program development.
Sheryl and our board are enthusiastic about the appointment of Susan. With her experience, vision and commitment to the mission of ADL, they are confident she will build on the great successes of the region and continue ADL’s leadership in the fight against antisemitism and hate of all kinds in Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming.
As I approach my retirement after 14 years as Regional Director at the end of the month, I take great comfort in knowing that Susan will be leading the ADL Mountain States Region. She is an exceptional leader with a deep passion for the mission of ADL. I have every confidence that she will work closely with ADL’s dedicated team of professionals, volunteers, and partners to counter antisemitism and secure justice and fair treatment to all.
Susan relocated to Colorado in 2006 and has had a significant impact on the community. Notably, she played a central role in the fundraising and development of the Boulder Jewish Community Center’s new building and campus. In addition to her leadership at the Boulder JCC, Susan is the founder and principal of Susan Rona & Associates, LLC, where she has provided strategic consulting to nonprofits, enhancing their fundraising efforts and overall community impact. Her commitment to community service extends to her roles on the Jewish Life Committee of the Rose Community Foundation, as a volunteer mediator with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, and as a board member of CU Boulder Hillel. Susan is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and of the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis.
I know all of you will join us in welcoming and supporting Susan when she starts her new job as the ADL Mountain States Regional Director in January!
