Looking to get more involved in ADL? Know a young leader who’s passionate about civil rights or someone who loves interfaith dialogue? Now is the time to apply or nominate someone you know to join one of two ongoing ADL efforts.
The Robert B. Sturm Mountain States Leadership Fellows Program is ADL’s regional young leadership program, created to involve people, from about ages 25-40, who are committed to ADL’s mission “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.” The Program, which runs from September through June, begins with a half-day retreat, exposes participants to educational programming about the substantive issues of ADL’s agenda at monthly dinner meetings, and gives them the opportunity to become ADL leaders in the community. Sturm Fellows are also invited to attend ADL’s National Leadership Summit in Washington, DC in May, 2015. Nominations and applications are due by August 31, 2014 for the 2014-15 program year.
ADL’s Catholic-Jewish Dialogue is also accepting nominations and applications until July 31, 2014. For nearly 30 years, the Catholic/Jewish Dialogue has brought together Roman Catholics and Jews to talk and listen to one another, discuss differences and similarities and encourage understanding of and respect for each other’s beliefs. The group meets 4-5 times per year, usually at noon on Mondays.
Call ADL at 303-830-7177 to apply for either of these opportunities or to nominate someone you know, or click below for nomination and application forms for both programs.
