  • November 25, 2014

Denver, CO, November 25, 2014 – The Mountain States Region of the Anti-Defamation League will bring the Colorado community together to promote inclusivity and respect at ADL ArtWorks, Presented by BNY Mellon Wealth Management. The December 10 event will take place at the EXDO Events Center in Denver, from 5:30-8:30 PM. The theme of the event is “Create a World Without Hate.”

ADL will present the 2014 ADL Create a World Without Hate Award to David M. Ickovic. Ickovic is a long-time ADL Mountain States Regional supporter, Board Member and National Executive Committee Member. He is the owner of Ickovic & Co. P.C., a Colorado accounting firm. According to Ickovic:

I’m honored to be recognized by the Anti-Defamation League because they advance inclusivity and respect, values highly important to me. With escalating anti-Semitism, threats from extremists and the need to speak out against bigotry and discrimination, who better to turn to than ADL? I support ADL because its mission is my mission: ‘to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.’

ADL Regional Board Chair Neil Oberfeld and Regional Director Scott Levin noted, “We are proud to honor David M. Ickovic, who has been a tireless supporter of ADL’s mission and work to eradicate hate and further inclusivity and respect. We look forward to bringing the community together to recognize such a deserving honoree.”

ADL Board Members Susan Brody, Peggy Goldman, Tracy McCarthy, Melinda Quiat and Andrea Shpall are the Chairs of the event, an interactive, hands on, creative cocktail reception and silent art auction.

ADL empowers students, community leaders and individuals of all backgrounds to reject hate, discrimination and bullying; to stand up for religious freedom; break down prejudice and stereotypes; build respect and understanding; and to take action against bigotry and anti-Semitism, which continue to plant new roots.
