The ADL Mountain States Regional Office is fortunate to welcome Caroline Spence to our team this summer. Caroline, a rising junior at Lewis and Clark College, will be working remotely with the entire regional team on ADL’s advocacy, education and development initiatives.

Caroline R. Spence is incredibly thrilled to have been given the opportunity to intern for the ADL Mountain States Region. Born and raised in the Black Forest near Colorado Springs, Caroline is currently majoring in World Languages at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, with a minor in Genders and Sexualities. An International Baccalaureate (IB) student at Rampart High School in Colorado Springs, Caroline was co-president of the No Place for Hate club at Rampart High School and a delegate to ADL’s Quiat National Youth Leadership Mission to Washington, DC. She is now the co-president of Spiritual Que(e)ry, a group dedicated to creating safe spaces for those experiencing the intersection of being religious or spiritual within the LGBIQIA+ community.

Caroline is a passionate lover of the arts, playing the marimba competitively and engaging social justice through her photography; in high school, she traveled the world as a singer.  In addition to teaching yoga and her other academic pursuits, Caroline is training for a degree in nutrition and loves to weight lift.  After college, Caroline plans to pursue a career in environmental protection and social justice, likely on an international level. In her free time, you can find Caroline sipping coffee in a café with a good book or hitting the gym with her friends.
